Even with the sun at your back
Your smile shines so brightly
Its brilliance brings
Tears to my eyes.

His suit was True Black
And his teeth True White
Anchorman by day
Sith Lord by night

You’ll realize
Everyone you love
Leaves,
Until the day you yourself
Must pack up
And go

She was every color of crazy
And she was beautiful to me.

How can it be
We understand each other
Deep down
But hardly know
What makes up our outer mind
And daily thoughts?

There’s a stiffness in your mouth,
When you move your lips to speak.
You seem unconscious of the way
Your brows draw together.
Your movements seem more tense,
But most of all,
I see it in your eyes,
Those crystal lakes that tell all.
Those eyes that stare out
See the world differently now.
They are older.
You are older.
The way you hold yourself,
It’s slightly more crushed.
The weight of expectations
Has pushed down upon you.
The burden that you carry
Hunches your shoulders
And makes your feet drag.
You are uncomfortable in this situation.
You are not happy here.
I can tell as I stare back at you.
Life could have been better,
You think,
But we all go in the end.

You’re the taste of bitter almonds
And a poison to the mind.
A toxic gas around the room
Causing currents that you’ll wind
-
To pull all others to your will.
It’s you acts alone in fact
That cause hurt and really kill.
Everyone can see that.
-
There has to be an antidote
Or some way to keep you out.
Dig a trench, fill a mote
So you cannot cross the ground.
-
You’re will’s not really good,
You think only of yourself.
You’ll spoil all the food.
You’re a danger to people’s health.
